 Bosque
Sustentable A.C. is a civil association whose Objective is to strengthen and promote
forestry development, ecological restoration and the creation of natural resource
management alternatives, as well as the development of innovative products to provide
ecological, social and economic benefits to the region.To
obtain this objective, the following actions are utilized:
- Providing technical assistance and training
- Facilitating processes of community organization
- Seeking financial support for community projects
- Assisting administrative, commercialization and
productive diversification processes
 The Mission of Bosque Sustentable is
to conserve the natural resources and promote the sustainable development of the Sierra
Gorda. Our job is based on a social conservation strategy, and protection and sustainable
use of the natural resources.
- The future Vision of Bosque Sustentable, A.C. is to
achieve a large and sustainable forest area and to share with local residents a language
and culture of respect and harmony with the forest.
The organizational structure is made up a General Assembly of
Associates, represented by a Board of Directors. The
Board makes strategic organizational
decisions and names the director, who coordinates and operates the programs. The director
is supported by a professional and technical team of collaborators and advisors, and
forestry organizers that work with the communities.
In order to respond to the project’s
requirements, the work area has been divided into two zones:
1) The buffer zone of
the Reserve (designed to protect the core protected areas), located in the state of
Querétaro, and
2) The Reserve´s zone of influence in the neighboring state of San Luis Potosí
